I've decided to create a DA account to help keep some of my artwork better organized (Tumblr has not proven to be the best option for that), so I'll be uploading some of my selected artwork here.
For some background on my endeavors into digital art, I've been self-teaching for about half a year, dedicating at least one hour per workday to practicing. I draw using a Wacom Bamboo tablet and have primarily been using Manga Studio 5 as my software. My ultimate goal is to become adept enough to provide my own artwork for a webcomic I'm planning, as well as illustrations, concept art, and other accompanying artwork for my prose works. (You can see some of that I've done already with the Hellslayer portrait series I've already started to upload.) It's been a fun process so far, and I'm really pleased to see that pushing myself to draw every day has, more than anything else, really gotten me into a habit of
wanting to draw every day, which is a great feeling. And uploading my still-fairly-amateur artwork, both on Tumblr and now here, has given me some well-needed practice in getting more comfortable and confident with sharing my work, which is vital to me as both an artist and a writer. All in all, it's been a good time.
Anyway, I'll be spending this week getting things set up and settled here. You can still check out
my Tumblr for other artwork, stuff about my writing, and general reblogs of writing advice and my relevant fandoms (largely Dragon Age right now), or
my website for more information on my writing, as well as some of my freely-available fantasy short stories.
